Attendees at this session will receive a motivational “boost” with insight and understanding as to what it takes to be involved in healthcare/housing as their vocation. This program will enhance self-esteem and stress the importance of empowering internal customers and staff about the importance of service excellence on an ongoing basis. Clint will provide tips on how to make this a part of every organization’s philosophy. Strategic issues will be discussed along with how to make the health/housing profession more than what it used to be, while at the same time continuing the mission-driven concept on which our profession was built.
“Are You Still Working at the Home?” presents the appropriate discussion and paradox that confronts everyone in healthcare.
At the end of this session the participants will be able to celebrate their profession by:
- Communicating positive self-esteem about their career in healthcare/housing
- Developing a specific strategy to deal with negative statements or community issues related to long-term care and their organization
- Implementing a 5-step process regarding customer satisfaction that moves us beyond using excuse-based methods for service delivery
This session will use case study, lecture, group discussion, historical examples and professional trends to empower the participants toward positive action that they can take back immediately to their service delivery areas.
